Last February, the Way Out Women raised more than $118,000 with its annual WOW ride, which has become a tradition in the area. Registration is now open for the 2017 ride, which is set for Feb. 25, 2017. The $100 entry fee will include a continental breakfast, goody bag, a limited edition T-shirt, lunch and a chance to help your friends and neighbors. All funds raised by the ride assist cancer patients through The Central Peninsula Health Foundation. Riders are encouraged to sign up in teams and dress up in costumes. There will be prizes awarded for best individual and team costumes. The ride will begin from Freddie’s Roadhouse, at Mile 16 Oilwell Road in Caribous Hills.
