BRP Inc., which makes Ski-Doo brand snowmachines, reported strong third-quarter profits in its Dec. 9 financial report.
“I am proud of our excellent third-quarter results for fiscal 2017,” said BRP president and CEO Jose Boisjoli in a statement. “We are on track with our plan despite the global context of political and economic uncertainties and a competitive market.”
Boisjoli pointed to the introduction of the Ski-Doo REV Gen4 and Can-Am Maverick X3 as helping improve the brand’s recognition and profitability.
“I believe that our product, geographic and manufacturing diversification continues to place BRP in a favourable position to achieve our objectives,” he said.
The report said BRP increased its third-quarter revenues by $70 million over the third quarter of 2015, a jump of 6.9 percent.
