Get out for the first ride of the season with Anchorage Snowmobile Club 9:30 a.m. Dec. 17 at Petersville Road, Milepost 14, at the Kroto Creek parking lot. The ride will go to the Black Creek Trail area and maybe make it out to Collinsville Trail, too, if the conditions are right. This ride is being designated intermediate for early-season conditions, but it will mostly consist of open meadows and endless, untouched powder – hopefully. Call the ASC hotline, 689-7777 for the latest updates before departing for the ride.
Mark your calendars now for a beginner skills class hosted by the Anchorage Snowmobile Club, 11 a.m. Jan. 7, 2017. The class will teach the basics and answer any and all questions you might have. For more information about the event, contact Gene Gerken, 441-8981.
